Gear Sector Surefire Scout Mount

Gear Sector emerged in 2005 and specializes in creating low profile mounts and slings. Their flashlight mounts are all built specific to the diameter of the light, with the exception of the Scout Mount and X-Series Mount. The Scout Mount is designed to work with the stock surefire flashlight rings and simply replaces the factory mount. This mount brings the light up and off of the rail and provides a very Low profile setup. Another touch is that all Gear Sector rail mounts are built to fit flush with TangoDown’s Rail Panels. Gear Sector offers these mounts in the standard colors as well as one called Patriot Brown which is unique to them. All Gear Sector mounts are finished with Cerakote and are made in the USA.
I chose the Gear Sector Scout Mount for a couple of reasons. First off being how low profile it was. It brings my Surefire M300a very close to the rifle and the only other mount option I saw that did this was one by Danger Close and his website was down at the time. The second reason was the quality. The mount was very well finished and had a very solid lockup to the rail via a bolt running through the middle. After the abuse my mount has taken, I recommend any of Gear Sector’s products. Here is a picture of my setup:
